George (Giorgos) Hatzinasios is a modern Greek musical composer. He was born in Thessaloniki in June 1945. After his primary studies he studied in National conservatory of Thessaloniki and continued his studies in National conservatory of Athens. He then went to Paris where he continued his studies in composition and orchestration. He has composed songs for more than 13 movies and is one of the greatest composers of modern times.

He has written many compositions such as “Path”, “Black black”, “Is God”, “Contrast”, “Album”, “Lesson Solfez“, “Great Greek Composers” etc. He has also written music for film such as “You and I”, “Hooks”, “Captives of Hate” and the soundtrack to 13 other films. But also in theatrical performances his music is important with numerous songs.

He is a member of the Company Composers and Lyricists of Greece, Company of Theatre writers and of “Britico” (England) the Performing Right Society. He has also given numerous concerts in Greece and abroad as the “Carnegie Hall” in New York in 1972 and the “Concert House” in Vienna in 1973.

He was awarded with the “Gold Disk” in 1975, the “Golden Note” by the  International company “Phonogram“, Second Price for composition and orchestration at the 10th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the award “Rose D’Or” in 1980 for the song “When night falls around” and many other distinctions. He has also contributed to the soundtracks of several TV series of the state and private television many of which were artistic successes.
